So from the base 4-3, who comes out vs 3 WRs? A LB or DT? Traditionally it’s a DL, but that really deminishes our strength (as it looks now) and potentially exposes our weakness in the middle of the field (again, as it looks right now)

I'm not really sure why people are concerned about how they're going to look in a base Defense. They're hardly going to be in it.

They're going to be in subs a lot, still.

Ragland will get the boot

I'd imagine it will be Attaochu and O'daniel as the linebackers in Nickel

Ragland could start in our “base” that we aren’t in often, but when the Sam comes off the field for our Nickle, Hitchens and O’Daniel will be the LB’s. Hitchens could start at Will then move to Mike in that situation.

But nooooo - we could be trading away Kpass, Speaks and Jon Baldwin!

Let Ragland park cars or sell popcorn in the stands or ... I don't know ... just let him impale his eyeballs with scorpion stingers ... whatever.

Just don't give him a jersey with a number on it.

4-2-5 more than likely.

If we were to line up today, you'd probably see 3 CB's, 2 S's, 2 LB'ers.

I would expect O'Daniel and Hitchens would be your two LB'ers.

Yeah, good point. And really, how often do teams stay in their base defense these days, anyway?

I'd say we still need to find another corner and a safety, though.
