FedEx asks Redskins to change name

Here we go. I think part of the reason we’ve been safe from this kind of stuff is because the Redskins have always been a bigger target. Now that there’s pressure from sponsors Snyder is going to feel the heat like never before.

If they go down, make no mistake, the mob will come for us next.

None of this is positive, but so far it's a sweep the office, implement training, and show a change has occurred type of deal. If there's more to it or if the ignorant barrage of twitter rumors pack some heat, then get them out on the table.

We've had a constant flow of Kraft this, Kraft that, Kraft this, Kraft that for years on end. If that man hasn't damaged the brand enough to get kicked out of the good ol boy's club, what in the hell are we talking about here?
Hiring a top gun lawyer and minority owners frantically pushing to sell indicates there's something much deeper than what we read. I agree owners are largely Teflon but kraft has earned a hell of a lot more leeway than Snyder because he's actually good at his job. If Snyder survives this it proves there is zero accountability for owners whatsoever. Frankly, its hard to believe he survived cheerleader-gate which seems even worse than the story that dropped.

TBH, in today's crazy world of theater, politics, double-standards, and lies, being a little tone deaf might not be the worst way to go about your life. But every side of every argument has each side calling the other side tone deaf, so tone deaf is just a(nother) term used to say that the other side is wrong.

Daniel Snyder paid $800 million for the Redskins and now they are worth reportedly around $3.4 billion... just from a personal business perspective he should try to cash out.

He seems completely disengaged from the franchise and doesn't seem to have any passion in an ownership role (he apparently is barely involved in any of the significant NFL ownership committees/business of the league, etc.)

Dude, just cash out and move on with your life.

15 women (so far) have accused high ranking officials in the Washington Whatevers of sexual harassment. The details are very specific and while Dan Snyder may not have sexually harassed anyone personally, he's ultimately responsible for everything that goes on in his organization, especially considering he's one of the most hands-on owners in the NFL.

Stating that Snyder shouldn't be forced to sell because that specific article didn't implicate him personally is utterly ridiculous. The man allowed it to happen for at least 15 years and only decided to "make changes" once word leaked that the Post was publishing an article detailing said harassment.

49% of all NFL viewers are female, who also account for more than 80% of all purchases.

Snyder should be removed from NFL ownership, period.

It's also pretty bad that he's effectively strongarmed them into extremely strict NDAs that he refuses to let them out of now. Not to mention most of the worst offenders are in his inner circle.

Look you better be able to have direct knowledge link or direct accusations to kick an owner out of the league. The story repeatedly says there are no accusations against Snyder. The idea that "He should have known" is not enough.

I cant stand Snyder he is a complete douche but nothing IN THAT STORY warrants removal of ownership. If something else comes out more directly linking him to this what amounts to a rather tame story then who knows.

I am far from tone deaf, I work in corporate America every day, I would say its more like you are mega sensitive drama queen about everything which is a surprise to exactly no ****ing body.

Yeah, he's just the owner who's been at the stadium everyday since he purchased the team. He's not responsible at all for anything other than the on-field production.

You're a ****ing moron, regardless of the subject.

Apparently, you've missed what's been happening all across this country for the past two years with the #MeToo movement.

Unsurprising.

You know that moment in Lord of the Rings, Two Towers when that ent unleashed the Dam on Isengard? Like, at the moment the river was released, Isengard and Saruman were still okay - but once that river was unleashed, nothing was stopping it.

We're about to see the river unleash on Washington here. 20 years of whispers are about to be posted everywhere for the world to see. It will be glorious. My mom grew up a Washington fan and it's been awful watching her fandom get destroyed by 20 years of Pioli (three years of Gibbs and one year with RGIII and Shanny notwithstanding). With as much of a piece of **** Snyder is, I hope this is it for him.

In this day and age you have to be careful you don't fall for a gold digger trying to cash-in on today's #MeToo movement. If the dudes raped the women, shoot them in the head after you castrate them, I have no sympathy for that. However, if what happened was some saucy girl went the casting couch way (like we see happen all too often in Hollyweird) to hopefully get ahead, well that's a different non-story.

Have you even read the article that’s at the center of this issue?
