there will also be another wave of free agency; cap casualties after the draft and before signing the draft picks.

I'm sure we'll pick up some guys, probably a LB I'd think at least.

Because we had the Cooper and Mitchell experiences of DBs who flashed and then disappeared. It's a limited sample size but it's a warranted concern.

I’m all for drafting a CB in round 2 but not to start. Ward has earned it. However Breeland is only here for a year

It’s already been confirmed that the Chiefs plan on starting Ragland not O Daniel

I didn’t realize training camp was over and the depth chart was locked.

**** Ragland.

Lucas should be depth. He’s not starter material.

Speaks... eh, I’m not having that conversation again.

I really like Ward but right now there’s nothing preventing him from going full Marcus Cooper. He’s an unknown still, I’d say and it would be nice if we could give him some more time before he has to be thrust in as a starter.

Can O’Daniel stay healthy?

We will probably draft another LB, S, and CB.

I see no reason why this group won’t be considerably better than last year.

Don’t forget the upgrades in the coaching staff as well!

I think the criticism for the Lbing corps is a bit harsh. Aside from Raglund, I don’t think they’ll be that bad.

Hitchens should be a lot better play the will position in a base 4-3. I think Damien Williams is going to surprise some people. I liked what I saw watching video of him vs the run. O’Daniel should be ideal in sub nickel and dime packages when he is expected to cover the receiver, rb or te. Plus we got Matt House coaching those guys up. We will be fine.

Damien Wilson. Trying to save you from the people who will comment that our RB isn't going to surprise many people as a LB.

I think this trade puts the Chiefs D in the top 10-15 range with potential to hit top 10 if a couple of players hit/return to form. If Ward continues to improve and Hitchens returns to form, of which both could easily happen, then they're a top ten defense.

I don't know how any of us can judge this defense considering we've never seen most of these guys play in Spag's scheme.

With that said, I'm 100% confident that they'll be better than last year, and could be elite.

Yep. Elite.

The two guys I'm most excited to see in the new scheme are Speaks and Hitchens.

Maybe Fuller, too.
