When the packers traded Brett Favre to the Jets, it had a stipulation they couldn’t turn around and trade him to Minnesota. I speculated a few days ago that this may have been the case with Carolina and Pittsburgh. Buffalo would trade Diggs anywhere but KC and ended up sending him to Houston (another conference rival). I may have to reach out to him to see if that’s what he heard.
