Entering camp, the leading candidate for the third running back role is Deneric Prince, a second-year player who spent much of last season on the practice squad.
Interesting, I did notice that Prince was getting reps with the 1st in OTA pics.

I didn't see anything last year in pre season that even said he's an NFL caliber back. Hopefully this report means he's improved and not just that the room remains lack luster.

Chamarri Conner was my defensive pick in the recent thread about picking breakout players for the upcoming season. He did some really nice work coming down the stretch last year.

Man, it's hard to see Farrell as anything but JAG.

I have hopes for Lovett to get some rushing down snaps, but given what the Chiefs were willing to roll with last year at DT, I don't think he's going to be trusted very much even if he's good enough to make the 53.

Hardman will likely be relied upon early in the season, especially since Rice is expected to serve a multi-game suspension to start in September for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Did I miss where the suspension will happen in September? I think that’s good news, actually.

Not even the new york times is dumb enough to predict Skyy Moore or Toney seeing increased roles.
