All he had to say was we didn't like the remaining QBs enough and went with the BPA. Still looks a bit foolish if Fields or Jones pans out but the alternative removed all doubt.

Especially when your BPA was at a position you're already relatively deep at and you've been struggling with QB play for over a half decade.

Denver has squat without a QB that can get it done under pressure. No team does. Lock and Teddy are not good enough and their fans know it. Miller will be gone next year and they will shell out huge money to keep Chubb happy.

They are in a down spin because teams are based on their QB being great. Players know this.

Skipping on Fields after you missed on Josh Allen (and had more ammo than KC to move up for Mahomes) is absolutely an indictment of that shitty organization and their decision-makers.
