Kind of curious on how everyone is doing with getting toilet paper and stuff like that. Here in north central Iowa it has been a pain in the ***. I finally said screw it and purchased a punch off amazon. Anyone else having issues getting the basics where they live? Sorry if already posted no time to read entire thread

Today I had planned on slipping out to hunt turkeys with one of the kids, working and then hunting mushrooms. I found out yesterday afternoon I needed to go do some essential worker, tight deadline stuff.
I needed to work my bees and was in a hurry and did every rookie move I could, banging hives, dropping frames and making them all as angry as possible and got a minor ass kicking. Then I mowed the yard and scrambled to be gone. I left at 6am, drove 300 miles to work on a project where after lunch time(didn't eat) I got stuck in an atv...like really stuck in the middle of nowhere and winch wouldn't do it. An hour after getting out I had a blowout in the truck. After fixing that I decided to call it a night around 7 and headed out to a hotel where I'm currently named for both of the rooms they have occupied. 5 minutes from there, wheel bearing explodes and I'm pulling a trailer with nothing except gravity holding the tire on.... It's been a great ****ing day. Now I'm looking at social media pics of all the dead turkeys and buckets of morels my people have found today. |

I should be about 4 hours from touching down in Paris... instead I'm sitting on my couch drinking Dos Equis.
Thanks China, awesome honeymoon. |

Travel is, by far, the thing I'm missing most in all of this. Enjoy the Dos Equis. Someday, it'll be a funny(ish) story. |

Yesterday we got a LOT of work done at the dive lake yesterday with the folks from the shop (15 tons of regular gravel for the road and 8 tons of pea gravel for the beach area (thank GOD for the dude with the Bobcat!!)); so this year's students will love the place even more. As a bonus the younger son and I got a dry-suit dive in - no leaks for either of us, WOOT, and got to test the new full face masks in a real environment, but we were pretty tired so it didn't last but 40 minutes.
Today I picked up the new (to me) AR today, so things aren't too bad. |

I feel blessed, I haven't had to cancel anything major. I feel super-bad for those of you who have. Ugh..
