No, Rany, they chose Colon. There were rumors they were leaning towards a skinny lefty with a weird arm slot right up until the draft. But the Royals opted for Colon over that lefty, Chris Sale. And if that didn’t sting enough, Christian Yelich was drafted later in that round by the Marlins. But lots of other teams passed on him too . . . . . . |

And yet, Christian Colon remains the only one of them with a ring.

The next draft class is good enough the Royals can get a better player at 4 than available at 1 in several recent drafts.
I’m still enamored KC Spencer Torkelson of AZ State but don’t expect him to last to 4. He and Hancock will go 1-2 unless one of them just collapses (which is possible - Singer was a consensus #1 going into his junior year and fell to KC). Pete Crow-Armstrong seems like a good fit for KC at 4. Super athletic CF with good speed who has contact skills and power potential. |

Ned goes out with a walkoff win and a Salvy splash. Soler hits HR #48 and Dozier hits his 10th triple of the year to finish tied with Mondesi and Whit for the AL lead.

Eric Hosmer turned in a very even number year in an odd one.
Excellent game for Ned to go out on today. Last edited by Chiefspants; 09-29-2019 at 11:07 PM.. |

Hoz -0.1 and -0.3 fWAR since he left. What a piece of garbage he is. He isn’t even a contact hitter anymore, used to k 16% of his PA...now it’s 24%. 142k and 160k In SD. Man is that contract a millstone
