I seriously cannot run the ball to save my life. One play during the game I ran a sweep my TE LT and LG all got tossed to the ground by 3 players in the exact same animation at the same time

Is there a way to adjust your run blocking

Protip: don't call sweeps.

I've only found one sweep call that really works.

Since they weren’t working and I wanted to waste clock I called the sweep

Work on inside zones, and stretch runs. Tosses are not easy to win with unless the defensive front is misaligned.

The beauty of the stretch play is that you can run in almost any gap that opens up…most run plays rely on 1 or 2 gaps that you have to hone in on and hit with almost perfect timing

Exactly. It's the old 1 cut and go zone run scheme. Always 3 options, just watch for the holes to open up and take the first one you see. It does require some patience.

It's amazing how many useless running plays there are in the playbooks.

Some of those shotgun counters...yech.

Don't get me started on draw plays. I don't think they've ever been useful in Madden.

I don't mind draw plays. I don't use them too much, but I don't hate them. I do hate using counters. Too much of a chance at getting blown up in the backfield on those because they're slow developing.
