*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

He could become simply an imperfect QB who is good enough to be a starter anyway, just not as a standard ho-hum boring game manager.

I'm pretty confident he'll "boom" as a QB. By how much remains to be seen.
His absolute FLOOR is Smith's best game/season as a Chief.

Beyond that?

We are holding in our collective, firm hands, a bonafide potential SUPERSTAR in this league.

And no, I do not expect greatness right off the bat. I expect Mahomes to come out swinging, potentially having a 'Sanchez-esque' first season with a nice collection of learning errors that unlike said burn-out, Mahomes will actually LEARN from these errors and correct them, never losing confidence because he is not being coached by Rex "QB Killer" Ryan.

And he is a lot more talented than Sanchez. There is that angle to consider.

And Andy Reid will still manage to **** it all up. Mark my words, bookmark this post...you will all be cursing Andy’s name and calling for his job in the coming years when we keep losing in the playoffs with Pat due to Andy going full reerun.

I think if Gruden could find a way to dump Carr and get Mahomes, he would do it in a heartbeat. Chiefs ain't gonna let him.

Last season, this draft class was supposed to be one of the great classes of all time for QB. They all disappointed big time. I'd rather have Trubisky, Mahomes and Watson over each one of them.

After playoff disappointment again, Mahomes is the only thing I am pumped about next year.

My prediction.
Chiefs 11-5, Mahomes 4200 yards, 32 TD 10 INT 63%.
