Love the look, a combo of "Melting" Godzilla from Godzilla vs. Desotoryah and some of the Millennium series Godzilla designs. Hoping for a DVD / Netfilx / Streaming release here in the states.

Can't possibly be worse than the last two movies and the recent game. We'll see.

Also I've heard talk of Godzilla vs Mothra vs Rodan vs King Ghidorah for the follow up American 2014 Godzilla coming out 2018...
That's going be the reboot line up.

Trailer needs more tail slide.

I want to like Godzilla movies, but they all suffer from the same problem - too many scenes of boring humans and not enough monster action.

My favorite kaiju flicks:

King Kong Escapes (1967)

It plays out like a combination of James Bond, a 1960s Marvel Comics, and a Japanese monster movie. Entertaining from start to finish. It looks cheap as hell though.

Daimajin (1966) + Return of Daimajin (1966)

The boring human parts aren't really all that boring. Sort of an Edo period historical thing with a badass monster wrecking havoc in the last act.

The War of the Gargantuas (1966)

Lots of action in this one. Actually a sequel to the infamous Frankenstein Conquers the World (1965)

The War of the Gargantuas is a criminally under rated kaiju movie. Love that movie.

My favorite non-Godzilla /non-Toho kaiju movies are, in no particular order;

Gorgo; great British kaiju movie

The Gamera Trilogy from the Hensi period (1990's);
Gamera: Guardian of the Universe
Gamera 2: Advent of Legion
Gamera 3: Awakening of Irys (one of the best kaiju movies of all time)
