A Level Headed Review Week 4 2024

Steele really needs to work on keeping both hands on the ball. That was just a good strip tackle but if he had kept both hands on the ball he wouldn't have fumbled.

PAT! Over threw Kelce right into the defenders hands. Gotta be better, I feel like he is forcing the deep ball.

Rice I really hope it's nothing long term or our offense is going to change dramatically.

Kareem Hunt sure looks like he still has "it". Has had some really good runs and catches out of the backfield. Can't wait for him to become more comfortable with the Offense. We need all the help we can right now.

Kelce looking like his old self again.

Jaylen Watson with the behind the line of scrimmage stop on 3rd and 1. Great defensive play.

Ariaiza seems to be getting his pin punting down. ST's are showing up and making the Chargers life hard.

Defense is really stepping up and covering for our Offense.

X gonna run right past ya for the TD.

I know we are short at WR but for the love of god stop throwing the ball to Moore....anybody else on the bench?

65 yard FG short by just a few yards - that's pretty darn impressive in its own right. Silly Chargers with the 55 yd FG miss.

Watson was wide open in the EZ on the 1 yard PM run. Also, gotta hand it to the Chargers D-line for playing very disciplined with their lane/gap assignments keeping Mahomes from stepping up and creating with his feet.

Hicks with the nice extension to almost get a pick on Herbert.

Is it just me or does Harbaugh look like he is about to have a mental breakdown?

Our Red Zone defense has really been impressive. CJ and FAU really made that 4th down turn over happen.

LOVE seeing Hunt crawling on the ground doing the "feed me" motion ****ING LOVE THAT HE IS BACK.

Perine with the hard earned TD. Love seeing us be able to run the ball again. As of this writing:

Hunt 12 Rushes for 65 yards 5.4 YPC

CHRIS JONES with the timely sack. Chamari Connor created that sack by drawing the back away from the jones pressure.

X gonna run past ya again for the critical first down. That play right there is going to win games for us. Go ahead we'll take the 5 yard under and let our fastest guy run right past you for the first down.

Also, another week of losing the turn over battle and still winning the game. That's pretty damn impressive - we are -4 in turnovers since week 1. The only games we broke even were the Ravens (1/1) and the Falcons (1/1). This week (0/2) vs the Bengals (1/3)

If we get Pacheco back and Hunt plays like this, that’s by far the best running back room we’ve had with Mahomes. Plus Perine as RB3.

Hunt was the single biggest story today, stepping in after two weeks and looking like that?

Just imagine it 3-4 weeks from now when he's fully dialed into the new scheme, it'll be like deja vu all over again/Yogi Berra

I just love it when Jonesy goes all Cocaine Bear.

Hunt looks like...well, Hunt.

Worthy is going to have to grow up fast, but boy is he...fast.

oh, and just in case you missed it, Kelce is still Kelce.

We'll be alright.

If Hunt looked good in practice, and we see what he did today, the it is absolutely criminal that Andy started wish.com Mike Alstott over Kareem Hunt.

Gotta wonder how many of those fumbles can happen until enough is enough.

The Mahomes int, and subsequent QB destroys his own WR may be the most sickeningly bizarre thing I've ever seen in over 3 decades of Chiefs football. Just an out of left field shot to the pills.

This defense looks up to the task of carrying the load once again, as our offense could not reach 20 points thos game. Losing Rice was huge, Worthys development is going to have to be accelerated a bit.

The Kelce screeching can cease. Guy was absolute money today.

Mahomes didn't, doesn't, and never will "suck". This dude is 12-0 going down 10 points. How many title games straight, MVPS, SBMVPS do you need before you chalk up a bad day at the office as just that, and have faith the dude is gonna come through? Imagine talking shit on 15.

Jawaan Taylor, man. This dude is frustrating. Not much else to add there. We paid a lot for this dude, and theres a lot of sloppy shit were getting in return.

And with all our close games and a defense that can’t force turnovers, having a fumble prone RB is just no bueno

Hunt and Perine gotta carry the load for us. Steele is good at pushing piles and running forward but those fumbles don’t justify it.

Hunt almost ruined his career playing against defenses stacking the box who had zero fear of passing the ball. He doesn’t have wear and tear like other RBs his age. Not hard to believe he can return to rookie form.

What do we do at rb when ceh comes back? He may be better now that he’s in a better head space. But perine was sneaky good today. He was really effective on short yardage plays. I feel like Steele becomes the most unnecessary piece but at this point I dont think he’d ever clear to practice squad

Skyy needs out. He is such a ****ing waste and I cannot for the life of me understand using a guy who can’t catch the ball when the offense is desperate for targets to spread around

Best game by araiza. He was sneaky inconsistent in prior weeks but today he had nice touch on his punts. If he adds touch to his booms he’s gonna be a weapon

I still stand behind the supporting cast ruining mahomes versus him being broken. I hate that we did that to him last year. This year is nobody’s fault but Lady Luck. But they have without a doubt broken mahomes for now. He does not trust anyone but kelce or rice, and now he doesnt trust the OL or trust even himself. I don’t know how you un**** that until we get another WR in there. Let’s just hope worthy keeps progressing quickly and Reid trusts him more. I think we can keep winning ugly but it just sucks to see mahomes spiral like this

Butker is one of the few guys who can hit that 65 yarder. Of course it’s not his fault for falling short, but I feel like he got way too much air for a kick that far

Why would Reid have benched Steele over a fumble he didn’t know was gonna happen? Steele hadn’t done anything up to that point to play his way out of his job.

If not for the Rice injury I'd almost be encouraged by today. But the team still knows how to win defensive football in ugly games and Hunt actually looked good, so there is some hope that they can carve out a decent enough offense with the pieces left.

I just feel like the RB rotation should be Hunt on 1st/2nd Down and Perine on 3rd. CEH and Steele should be the relief. Not sure what happened on that Steele swing pass that he didn't catch. Looked like Mahomes wanted him to go deeper but then shorted the pass.

I like the idea of Steele given how we have a bunch of rentals. Between perine, hunt, ceh … who knows what our rotation looks like next year. So we can’t risk losing him. But yeah things like pass pro, ball security, running routes and catching passes I don’t know his spot given our rb depth right now. I mean when pop comes back we’ll have 5 guys in the rotation which is crazy to think about
