He needs someone to make analytics decisions for him.

The 4th and 1 today and then the punt last week weren’t even borderline. They’re obvious go for it situations that he’s just punting on. And he’s doing it with the greatest QB of all time.

I get he’s old school and he wins a lot. But come on man…

Too risky but a rookie 2nd round LT one on one against Trey Hendrickson is just the way it goes

I still have no idea why he is afraid of even getting stopped in that position at the 1 yard line. Worst case scenario is the Bengals have awful field position in the 1st quarter of a 3 point game. And the far more likely scenario is a touchdown.

I didn’t like running the ball on both 1st and 2nd down. Taking the ball out of Patrick’s hands. And the Bengals knew exactly what was coming. I would put Mahomes on a bootleg play and perhaps let him run it if nobody is open for a pass attempt.

Exactly. Worst case burrow is trying to operate from the one with 75000 pissed off Chief fans calling him bad names. I just... again, love ya Andy.

The part that kills me was they went for it on 4th and 1 at the 3, but then kick a field goal 3 plays later on 4th at the 1.

Statistically, anywhere inside the 10 you go for fourth and one every time. From the 1 it's just beyond reason not to go. Andy's conservative fourth down decisions are the one obvious weakness in his coaching. You knew Taylor would go from the 3, also the correct decision.

He should have went for it but it's not like our offense has been unstoppable in these short yardage situations. I think it ends up making him overthink things.

I also think it set the tone, negatively, for the offense

When your HC puckers early in the game like that, the offense seemed to follow a bit
