In this environment I grimace a little because a 7 percent return trails the major stock indexes, but I still like them from a diversification standpoint, and I'm still winning against inflation. |

I think the 4-5x's volume the last few days was all the funds getting out that held it for the dividend and others thinking it's dead money and not value. I will be OK down to $16.80 with my puts until next year. |

Took some profit today. I bought SPLK in 2012 during their IPO with a cost basis of $35. Over the years it's gone up and down and, while it's not at the highest ever, after a stellar earnings report yesterday it's up over 15% today. It opened today at 68.30 and I put in a limit order to sell at 81.50. I left in my original investment dollar amount but pulled out 127% profit.

Make sure you can find out which they did and if any other top execs sold a big percentage of their holdings...... Selling a lot of shares doesn't scare me but a big percentage does. |

GE has been hit with a class action suit over Fukishima. $500 mil.
Those reactors were supposed to be built on a bluff 115' high. To save $ GE reduced the bluff to 85'. And they are going to be 31 billion short on pension obligations. |

Thanks, I just saw that. This is not a good sign. It may mean they cut corners in a lot of other places.
