They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Back to back 2nd round picks aren't value swings.

Unless you're at "first round picks and high end FA's" as the only thing not being value.

They're basically doing what the Steelers and the Seahawks have done. Just keep throwing resources at it and see what sticks.

So it seems like they're easing Toney back in after missing TC (understandable), Rice is getting more snaps from last week (IIRC).

Sure but they’ve been doing that for years and years. I like the approach going forward. For now it’s felt more of a reaction to releasing an entire WR room from 1-5 in one offseason. Especially with the skyy pick being especially lower value since we traded back and took him in a year with an unprecedented run on first rounders. I’d ask why we haven’t done the same for OT. As great as FAU has been, did we miss the boat on some outstanding TEs in round 1?

For one thing we haven’t hit on our big swings like ceh/mecole/obj. But many of us would argue that in pursuit of a great defense that is not only complete but also really deep, we don’t fix offensive positions with the same level of urgency. It’s not like “woe is me we’re ignoring it.” It’s more a moderate poke to say we need to do better and swing a little bigger. As great as veach has been it’s ok to just say that on offense we haven’t been so great that we can blindly trust that everything is gonna be fine.

James received undeserved hype here for some reason, but he was a 7th round pick and is on his third team. As expected, he's a special teams JAG

First round TE's have a terrible history, the value isn't there. First round DE"s are always a good idea.

CEH is the big miss that is killer. Mecole produced about at an average 2nd round WR level.

They just won a SB and had one of the best offensive output seasons in the history of the NFL. If you don't trust this regime at this point.......it sounds like that's a you problem.

Justin Watson already has a third of his catches from last year (not too hard considering he only had 15), that being said he seems to have a bigger role than before and I assume that will continue. I want more Rice.

While I haven't seen much from James, i'm not quite ready to jettison him.

If our WR group comes together and sorts itself such that people who are developing are getting more playing time, you'd expect Watson's role to be reduced as the season goes on. But he has a way of coming up with a big play once in a while, and Mahomes trusts him.

I will say it again, I can't believe we're sitting here with Mahomes and what looks like a legitimate top 5 defense, and people are shitting their pants because our young WRs are having some growing pains.

I don't think I've ever been this confident in a Mahomes team.

Mahomes and an elite defense is a ****ing cheat code. What a bunch of ****ing pussies some of you are.
