They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

They went into the season (the plan) with Toney and Moore as their top two receivers and they both failed miserably. Why is it so hard to admit they made a huge evaluation error (the plan) that they were still able to pivot from (new plan) and overcome because of the greatness of their other stars, who they get full credit for?

What they planned didn't happen, who cares, we happily move on with another SB.

Wylie was the RT on an offense that was #1 in virtually every major offensive statistical category in 2022.

Now do that same analysis with the WR's and their impact on the Chiefs offense in 2023.
The 4th quarter and OT of the SB versus the rest of the game shows what Pat can do with mediocre WRs if given any time. Pass protection was a big problem early.

The OT issue going into next year is significant. Donovan Smith wasn't as good as I had hoped, and he's probably gone anyway. Really just as much uncertainty at OT as WR going into next year. Taylor starts but where?

Wouldn’t rule out remigio who has the upside to be better (not banking on being a world beater) but can also return punts.

They went young and cheap at WR.

I guess I'm more discussing the philosophy and process than actual players.

They whiffed on Toney and Moore. It happens, you're not gonna bat 1.000

They also have Shi Smith on a futures contract, so he'll be in TC as well.

Exactly, it's all good, and the WR group will undoubtedly be better next season even if they bring back Sneed and Jones.

This is literally ALL you have. "Skyy Moore!". That's it, and you pull it out every chance you ge to deflect. I haven't defended Skyy Moore since the offseason/preseason. Pathetic.

It's weird that people forget that Orlando and Wylie had the 2 worse pressure rates among all tackles and yet he wants him back.

Wylie was tied for 4th among most sacks given up among tackles (9) and was top 5 in pressures allowed amongst tackles.

He was terrible this year

Just read from PFT that the Bungles are going to probably tag Higgins so that leaves Boyd as a potential option I assume?

But they had the #1 offense!!!!

Yeah...because of Mahomes. Same reason that we won a SB this year. But that's not the same thing because we didn't have the #1 offense this year.

I guess hindsight is 50/50.

💯

Gotta trust in veach. Got a little cute trying to moneyball our WRs but it’s a mistake he will not make twice. Cap isn’t nearly the object we think it is, and most of the problem gets solved just by having 1-2 effective offense heavy drafts. It’s very achievable without even breaking our backs to do it

You know we may not have won the SB if Toney doesn't line up offsides and Skyy doesn't get hurt. That basically forced the coaches hand. Then when they both weren't in the game they realized how bad those two truly were.

I know people shit on these kinds of ideas because yeah… he’s not Justin Jefferson let alone tee Higgins… but it’s a way different discussion if he’s there to complement rashee rice. It’s a tremendous value that solves a very big problem which is having WR options who just know where to be and can catch the balls that come to them.

If you do that, go out and get a speed option in the draft.

I don’t think he moneyballed the team when it comes to WRs. They only lost JJSS. It was reasonable to think MVS would at worst maintain the level of play from last year, Skyy would improve, and Toney would be the #1 WR that he has the talent to be. Plus he snagged Rice in round #2 vs a late round flyer. It didn’t work out according to plan and I do think he will attack it more aggressively this offseason.

Toney needs a psychologist and Moore needs to work his ass off in the off-season. I understand that Moore was playing against G5 competition in college but he shouldn't be as bad as he is. I still have faith he can add value.
