Yeah, same here. The night I surprised the wife with the homemade meal for Valentine's Day, she was under the impression we were going out. She put on a super nice dress, and took the kid to the babysitter. When she got back, and saw that I put together a romantic dinner at home, she said it was better than any night out could have been.

We're both in a seafood state of mind, doing shrimp scampi over linguine with french bread and a salad later this evening |

Tonight I'm making meatloaf, roasted potato medley with dill and garlic and grilled asparagus.
Wife is making a pineapple upside down cake or dark chocolate cake for dessert. |

My pond here in still and looks like glass. I just fed my catfish... I don't give them much but they sure come to me when walk down there... like Koi at the Omaha Z
oo. I have a pork loin that I plugged with rosemary, ginger ( I wish...) and garlic, that I am smoking later along with 2" Lamb chops (smoke, Sous Vide, seer) with a 3 cheese Pasta bake and sauted veggies in a red wine, balsamic, butter sauce. Working on a sauce idea for under the lamb. I'm kinda hung up as I don't want to steal the veggie sauce's thunder. Maybe a Gorgonzola butter.... Couple more drinks...and I'll wing it. |

Ramen, sprouts, sliced pork loin, green onion, half boiled egg. Basic and fairly easy. I like to add cabbage, corn, a dab of butter and extra chiles as well. |

I feel like I'd come up short if I made it myself, but I guess that never stopped me from bbq'ing while living in KC. |
