****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I've been saying for weeks our offense looks exactly like the Bears under Nagy in regards to the routes our receivers are running. It's absolutely glaring

Juju is the definition of a 'JAG'. He's got one good leg. He's not the same guy he was his first few years in Pittsburgh.

All of the rest of these guys were here in '22. ALL of them REGRESSED not just a little; not 'to the mean', they all regressed to unplayable.
But JuJu was a pro that knew his role and could run a route, not to mention catch the damned ball when it hit him in the hands. This squad doesn't even have that, and it's spilled over to Kelce now as well.

The qb played the best qb season in nfl history last year and this year it’s been good not elite.

There’s your difference.

Finding the cause of that is the biggest deal going forward

Nagy is the easy scapegoat

It’s Andy’s offense.

Then Andy needs to stop modeling his offense after Nagy's Chicago offense.

Nope. He was a playable WR that could soak up targets and stabilized the offense because he was a professional. They decided professionals not needed.

He was a JAG outside but better than average in the slot where he had a skillset of value that teams would pay for.

So NFL teams had his skillset valued at around 10 million a year for his prior level of competence. We knew he would be the #1 WR going into last year. There was no one we could point to this year.

Who is worth 10 million on this team as a veteran now?

No one.

Nagys chicago offense was Andy’s offense

It’s the Alex smith offense for various reasons

1. The rookie LT got anally raped.
2. The $20 million RT got anally raped even with chip help.
3. The Chiefs didn't have a RB who could block. McKinnon and Pacheco were out and Clyde cannot block worth a shit.
4. Since the RB's are out we had no choice but to have Blake Bell and Noah Gray block instead of be receivers, along with Kelce sometimes.
5. The WR's aren't good except for Rice.
6. Since the Chiefs OL was getting raped by only 4 DL, it was literally 7 defenders vs 4 Chiefs receivers and most times when a WR was open the QB was already being chased out of the pocket and didn't see the opening.

We saw this same exact shit vs TB in the Super Bowl. Same thing fellas.

And yet you guys wanna pin this on any coach for not fixing it huh? Put Bill ****ing Walsh in that situation and he's getting owned. Put Mike Holmgren, Mike Shannahan, Sean McVay or any offensive genius in that scenario and they're getting still dog walked.

The Chiefs don't have talent
It's the same talent as 2022. Hell, it's probably upgraded from the corpse of JJSS to Rice and Wylie to Taylor. And the offense has absolutely CRATERED on itself and is actually regressing on a week to week basis since the Denver loss. Incredibly poor coaching is the culprit, and it should be glaringly obvious when every single ****ing position group regressed.

It's not upgraded when you had one WR that Mahomes could trust to get open and catch the ball and now he's gone.

Rice over JJSS in 2023 is undoubtedly an upgrade. Juju can't play regularly anymore and even at the end of the season his production was slipping drastically.

3 for 27
2 for 21
2 for 35
2 for 29
1 for 7

That's his production from Christmas Eve up to the Super Bowl against the Eagles last year. I'm sorry, but he absolutely wasn't this core piece that we just can't function without. He was fine in the Super Bowl for that one drive but that was about all JJSS provided as far as being an impact player for a month and a half at that point.
