Yeah, Kelce's age means we can no longer try to just bandaid the weapons.

We need to look to a future without him and why not add the weapons that will be useful NOW and the future so Kelce goes out a 3 time Champion?

And all this horseshit about usage is just that.

Flowers has been mostly used in the short to intermediate range, just like Rice.

Rice has 11 YPC. Flowers has 10.

MVS.

Screw it. He is what he is. Trying to make into a real WR was a dumb idea.

Moving on.

He helped us win last year as a decoy deep threat.

It worked well enough for a year but time to move on.

This is the type of thing that makes the Nagy, Embree and Andy criticisms seem weird.

MVS is in his 6th season. He's a veteran. He played in this exact offense last year. How the **** does he not know the right route to run?

They didn't completely change the playbook. They ran that route so many times last year.

Make it make sense.

There was a play later in the game where Kelce was open on a crosser, and MVS had his man beat by a step or two in the endzone, and Pat completed it to Kelce

Difference between a 12 yard gain and an incompletion in the endzone

I don't think that's on MVS - not sure why Mahomes would be expecting MVS to sit there and allow the DB to close ground.

If Pat leads him to the sideline, all MVS needs is a block from Rice and he may score.

Really? MVS again tried to run into the safety.

Patrick threw the ball correctly. MVS was supposed to sit down.

MVS has no way to know as he makes the break that the DB is going to get lost in space like that. With man over, it makes sense to push that to the sideline or the DB is very likely going to end up in your hip pocket.

I think Mahomes saw how badly the CB was beat and threw it as a stop, but MVS doesn't have eyes in the back of his head - he does not (cannot) realize that the CB has completely lost track of him like that. He has to assume reasonably sticky man coverage and taking that to the sideline there is the right call.

Throw comes in underneath the safety and in front of the CB. It's an easy completion.

Ron's right in the tweet - against man, you run FROM the defender.

The safety isn't making that play if MVS continues to the boundary.

The CB absolutely is if MVS sits down, because the ball is late. If Pat was expecting MVS to sit immediately out of his break, that ball is way late.

Not to belabor the point but flowers has 2x Rashees depth of target and has a number of 20+ yd air yard receptions. They are not being used the same way.

Rashee has been primarily used as a power slot and many on here would like for Reid to use him more aggressively. But what he’s done so far has been excellent

So is Patrick improvising on the fly? Because that seems like a bad idea on plays that aren't broken/extended
