****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I think the jury is still out on our WRs. But that's the issue with 'unproven' players, or players with 'lots of potential.' you don't really know what their ceiling is. Or the floor. Or even what an average performance is supposed to look like.

If we take the DET game and decide that that's the floor, fine, but then what does 'average' look like? 10% better? 50%? We just don't know.

I think they should improve. But how long does that take. And how much will they improve over that time, and will it be enough?

Fortunately, with Pat and Travis, they don't need to be great. Just "at least as good as they were with Juju," was the mantra around CP just a few months ago, right?

Well, let's see how develops into JuJu.

Toney clearly wasn't ready to play. Moore, probably trying too hard, and Rice is a rookie but did some nice things in his package. I'm sure his package gets bigger each week.

And Ross caught his target and looked to have gotten open down field multiple times, so there's reason to be optimistic.

I think Pat had more time than he thought several times, and so we may see more down field stuff when he gets adjusted to the better OT play.

It'll be okay.
Yeah Pat was still working off the "1.5 second Orlando Brown ticker" that counts down in his mind.
1.5 seconds annnndddd BAAAAIIIILLLLL because Orlando just got smoked again!

His sheer size and speed make him a real weapon. But if a DB can get in his face from the snap, you can take away a lot of his effectiveness, because he's not great with his releases, and he's slow getting into and out of his breaks. And if Chavarius Ward can do it, then there's others that can as well.

Different times.

We'll see as his career progresses. But imo, DK isn't elite. Very good, yes.

Rice, Ross, James. Andy is being too partial to the old hats. That includes Clyde.

****in Tyreek man. Dude has only gotten better it seems. How good is Mahomes that the Chiefs can trade away the most unguardable WR possibly EVER and still win the god damn Super Bowl anyway with MVS, Juju, and Skyy friggin Moore playing WR? Yeah he has Kelce still but man. It's crazy.

Hindsight is 20/20. But if everyone knew Chris Jones and his agents would pull their recent shenanigans, the KC front office would have traded Jones a couple years ago and found a way to keep Tyreek. It's a bummer that things played out like this with both guys.
