****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I mean, that’s all well and good but did the wideouts other than rice actually improve? It seems that’s a nice way of saying we’re just going to accept that the back half of our wr room is limited in the passing game so we’re going to scheme around them. We leaned heavier on rice and asked the other wideouts to do very little in the passing game. I guess that technically qualifies as simplifying things

I thought Moore had a nice game too. Not outstanding. But solid in the opportunities we was given. Encouraging!

Well, we were hoping he was a WR2, but he's more like a WR4. Oh well.

and yes, I still hate that terminology.

This was his breakout game. It's going to be fun to watch him grow.

Edit: thought this was the Rice thread, but point still stands!

Man, you give that kid 10 targets every game, and good things are going to happen.

He has everything else no doubt. Just needs consistent hands and continue improving his "Mahomes Eyes" that only Kelce and Watson has down for now.

We didn’t learn anything new about Mvs and watson. Maybe we unlocked something in skyy but that’s doubtful.

We’re going to run the ball a lot more, lean heavier on Pacheco and gray in the passing game. The only major change at wideout is that we’re finally going to ask rice to do a lot more. These are all good changes. If anything it has little to do with simplifying our offense. We are asking rashee to do more (not less), and our other wideouts to do less.

Moore was 3-3 for 34 yards. Not terrible. And Pacheco was 5-5 for 34 yards too. Really not bad when you factor in the first play of the game going for -13.

I missed part of the middle of the game, so I don't know if they excelled at run-blocking/playing decoy/whatever, but statistically, no. Rice had a pretty nice game, congrats on his first 100-yd game in the NFL, but the rest of the WRs accounted for just 4 catches/36 yards.

They were allow Pacheco to get the flats, and we took advantage. I don't know what else you would want, the distribution seemed fine. We Ran 4 plays in the first quarter and were negative yards. We had over 360 yards the rest of the game. Moore and MVS had some crucial blocks and we really only had the one drop by Rashee, the other pass by Mahomes to Rashee was a bad pass. We had no turnovers and I believe we were perfect again on short yardage plays. It was a good day all around, shouldn't be much to complain about.
