They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I feel like we may have seen a bit of a change in strategy today after the shitty start... maybe a little bit of Mahomes and Kelce being determined to get over the struggles, maybe a little more focus on the playmakers.

Reid will always treat the regular season as preseason until later in the season.l and it'll always be frustrating..... last year they ****ed around until using the Raiders as a postseason warmup.

This year they've obviously been rotating guys a pretty frustrating amount.

They obviously don't purposefully play like shit, but they clearly changed things up today and that's nice.

I think having Toney and Hardman out today was the best possible thing for this offense, forced a move away from the WR by committee, which was long overdue. 10 targets for Rice needs to be the gameplan going forward.

Playcalling seemed better today, too - more direct, less "cute". This group needs to focus on quick downhill passes and a lot of Pacheco.

Rice looks legit, he still had an easy drop that cost a first down, left them in in third and long.

I think the self scouting was to no longer play games and try to force certain things to work. Target rice, lean on the run more than Reid would like, acknowledge our other guys aren’t very good but can break free every once in a while when no one is paying attention.

These guys still are what they are and what they were. Except rice who shined when we asked more of him

He has a history of doing that though, so I think you're just going to have to take that as part of his game, for now at least.

How many catches did the TE's have compared to the WR's?

TY. Just wanted to see the ratio. Figured the TE's got almost as much.

I think the solution, like it was with Kelce early in his career, is to keep throwing him the ball anyway.

I like it.

Noah Gray's only problem is that he plays on a team with Travis Kelce.

No way Diggs stays in Buffalo if the Bills miss the playoffs (his brother basically said as much)and Higgens is a FA. With one of them, Kelce may not retire as I’m thinking he’s leaning that way

I don’t mind rashee and kelce dropping passes even if they’re frustrating. If you are getting open regularly you can take volume . And that helps mahomes feel comfortable knowing they’ll be where he wants them to be. And he doesn’t have to throw an immaculate pass to complete it.

It’s more annoying when guys who are asked to do so little make so many mistakes in so little opportunities. I suspect mahomes is way more annoyed by that than drops also.

They should have left Rice in the game, and went right back to him. Even though it was several minutes later, he did atone for the drop. But too many times, I feel as we have pulled guys right after a drop. That can't help their confidence. My favorite, maybe even over the TD, was the catch on first down when we were backed up inside our own 10 yard line. The down the sideline catch where heavily contested. That may be a catch that gives Mahomes the confidence to go to Rice more that when he is just wide open.
