They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Haven't scored a second half point in 3 games. Yeah, I think an adjustment is in order.

Fixable simply means enough to win the SB.

But we're all well aware that you don't even believe they can do that.

Brett Veach tried trading up for a WR in the first rd. From the Rapoport article

Quote:
Sources say the Chiefs tried to trade up in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft in order to select a receiver, but they couldn't get into the 20s. Kansas City did trade up in Round 2 for Rashee Rice, who has flashed potential during his rookie season.

My gut tells me we could draft Jerry Rice and Randy Moss back to back and they'd only see the field a 1/4 of the game.

Putting your players in the best situation to succeed should have been done 6 games ago. But, better late than never.

I'm encouraged to hear that Andy's talking about it because he's usually a little more quiet about it. Perhaps the week+ nonstop conversation forced him to at least address that aspect of the team's current challenges.

And yet, when Andy doesn't have the players he needs, he tends to play the game "not to lose", which means we end up losing the game anyway.

They tried to get Flowers.

From what I understand, Veach wanted to get BOTH Flowers and Rice.

As bad as the WRs look right now I'm not sure if there's anyone picked in that first round I'd have really liked us to trade up for. If there's a guy it would've been nice to get it was Dell in the 3rd. But you could see the arguments against a guy that small

Figured as much about Flowers. He was my pick, but figured no way we could get him. When I heard he was also catching passes with Mahomes, I had my fingers crossed.
