Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Spavital told @BullandFox he couldn't say Weeden was a franchise QB, but spent much of interview saying Geno was. Coached 'em both. You pick

All day long I've been on a mission to educate fellow uninformed Chiefs fans who were excited about this.

It takes about three or four posts on their positive update for them to see the light.

My friend a Ravens fan is like oh it's okay he'll be good. I'm like, good enough to beat your team?

Oh no, no way.

See THAT'S what I'm talking about. **** this shit.

The Chiefs showed real sign if getting it together by snagging the best
FA quarterback on the market, who is also a great fit for our offense.
Great touch passer, great mobility, great at play action. Smart guy who
has had to eat miles of shit in the 9er organization for his whole
career finally getting an opportunity. And best of all, it keep the team
from pissing away the #1 on a QB who isn't worth a 1st round pick, let
alone a #1 overall.

Clark Hunt should change the teams name to the Kansas City Dumpsters; alway dumster diving for their starting QB. Change the team colors to dark brown (shit stain) and yellow(gutless).

What a disappointment. I would have rather kept Cassel and rolled the dice on a QB in the first round...though I never believed the Chiefs would actually do that. This is definitely the safe move for Reid, Hunt, Dorsey, and the Chiefs. If it bombs it is on Smith. If they had gambled on a first round QB that would be on the three MUSTketeers.

I bet Cassel goes on to be a sucess elsewhere. I will .

Getting into the playoffs is the key, if you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. Additionally it gives the fans a chance to be excited about something, it makes the team more lucrative to potential free agents, because lets face it, who REALLY wants to come here right now? To be part of a loser? If the Chiefs can win 10 games next season, I'll consider it a success and something to build upon.

Also why the rudeness? I don't remember being rude to you or making any sort of derogatory comments, not sure why you insist on being disrespectful, I'm just expressing my views.
That's bullshit.
In today's NFL, if you don't have a QB that can step up and make plays against legitimate playoff defenses that can bring pressure, you have no shot at advancing to the SB.

Alex Smith ensures 5 years, or more, of mediocrity.

Playoffs, get bounced, lather, rinse, repeat.

**** mediocrity, and then shove right up into your mediocre loving ass.

Alex Smith seems like a Lateral move because if you had to pick one NFL QB that was like another Alex and Matt would top my list.
