What's it matter to him what we all think or expect though?

I don't think he's necessarily lying, I'd imagine it's more coach speak

Yea you! Give yourself a big handjob
Do you even know what you’re arguing about? Or have you just gone in circles enough given your frequently inane arguments you’re just very dizzy?

It's not about us. This is the answer he gave the media. Surely, if something doesn't change, they will be asking even more questions.

This isn't Andy's first rodeo.

I guess we shall see what changes are made coming out of the bye though.

I just always judge them by the actions. But we will find out here pretty quick.

If he's healthy enough to be active, play the guy. If he's not, sit him and get him healthy.

Snap counts and WR targets are what the devil invented to make fans that never called plays even for Pop Warner think they know more about NFL offense than Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.

Versus Dolphins Toney has one catch for 18 yards that he catches at 5 yards and makes 10 yards after contact and defeats 4 tackling attempts before being tackled by 2 Dolphins and then fights to get up so that he can go nuts.

When the offense is sputtering and there's a guy doing that, I'd say getting him more snaps and the ball would be a good thing.

Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo are not coaching to fight for every inch on the field and maximum Chiefs points and minimize opponents points.

They coach for getting the win and staying healthy.

Zay flowers and rashee rice are very different WRs. Id love to have flowers for very different reasons. I think he like so many other WRs are handcuffed to a situation that doesn't let him fully play to his abilities. But I'm really not upset at all with getting rice. What we need most is a swiss army knife and he has better potential to be that. He's gotta get better and better at running a bigger route tree and beating lots of different coverages and we need to trust him, but he's way further along than I think anyone would've expected.

Now Quentin Johnston on the other hand... Holy ****, that is a great demo of how far along rice is

The issue everyone is gonna have with these guys were gonna be drafted at th end of the first, is that they're likely to be on a similar developmental curve as Rice.

Sure, we could hit a Jefferson that comes in and just takes off. But that's not gonna be likely.

I'm wondering if how this season ends impacts their decision for 2024.

Lose early in the playoffs because the offense sputters? Maybe go get a FA WR to accelerate that curve.

Win the whole ****ing thing? They'll be patient and draft one - or maybe not address the position at all.

I don’t think anyone has a problem with the development curve of Rice. The problem is if they’re closer to the development (or lack thereof) of Hardman and Moore.

Meh, probably going to addressed it the same regardless. If there's a guy that hits FA Mahomes wants bad enough, we'll probably get him in here. If not, the same thing with the draft.

Regardless of how this season turns out I don’t see not addressing the position even being a remote possibility. If the offense struggles the rest of the year and they lose early in the playoffs because of it you probably see a massive over correction to address the issue (significant FA/Trade acquisition and draft).

If the offense shows enough improvement I think you still see WR addressed through both FA and draft, but FA is probably a cheap veteran and draft won’t absolutely HAVE to be in the 1st.
