They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

As for Thielen, keep up with your revisionist history. Being open to kicking the tires on a 33yr old Thielen isn’t the same as giving the guy 2/18mm. The Panthers at the time obviously had to overpay to get him given that they were desperate to surround whoever was gonna be their QB pick with weapons after trading away DJ Moore.
There were plenty of us screaming for a bandaid because we just needed a guy to hold the fort down for 1-2 years until the rest of the WR room sorted itself out and developed. There was actually way more people screaming for that than asking for a young expensive long term contract blue chipper.

I'm still very disappointed we didnt. But no matter... We move on and we'll figure something out as we usually do.

Probably stated previously but we have no top reliable WRs not even a WR1 or WR2 on other teams, it’s like our WR 1 (who even is that? Rice based on yards) would be WR 3 elsewhere.
We have no WR with a 100 yard game this year. Not even close.

I think this is kind of true and kind of bullshit. You need KT having reps if you think hes that good so you can have chemistry with Mahomes. The truth is Toney simply isn't good enough, or reliable enough. Its both.

That's true. There were a lot of people calling for the position to be addressed. Hell there was even a thread about signing Hopkins.

Damn. Would been nice!

He's a FA again this offseason, Jags are on the come up but not exactly living up to the hype this year. Any chance he shakes loose?

Ridley hasn't been very good this year. Missing a year of football didn't do him any favors.

Eagles aren't spending nearly as much on the OL despite having a superior group, pretty sure Taylor and Thuney make more combined than the Eagles entire OL.

I personally think the Chiefs went a little overboard on building out the OL, and it's clear Mahomes no longer has a team friendly deal. So maybe we are in a position where they really can't afford to add much in FA and have to pray they pull a rabbit out of their ass at WR, so to speak.
I'd imagine Lane Johnson makes similar money to Taylor.

This is kind of the disconnect with this whole thing. It would appear that the Chiefs FO views those 2 OL as elite difference makers, where as CP does not.

I don't really think I would do it at that cost either, but depending what I can get for Chris Jones, I might .

So you would've given up a 3 + 5 + 6 for Ridley last year when he wasn't even going to see the field for the Chiefs that season a week after we traded a 3 for Toney?

Oh my.

Would rather draft a 1st rd WR, especially since this class seems very good

Been saying it all year. The writing is on the wall. We will tag and trade Jones and use the draft capital to move up in the draft and select the best WR available at that slot.

I still contend the issue isn't that they haven't put resources towards the position.

It's that they've whiffed on the players
