Guess it depends on your definition of 'serviceable.' According to StateMuse, Taysom's career record as a QB is 48-17, for a 73.8% winning percentage. As a passer, he's very average/below average, but obviously he's a better option than Tebow (40% career winning percentage). Taysom was also more accurate/consistent, with a 64% Completion rate, while Tebow's was 48%.

Sean Payton made Teddy Bridgewater look very good. He did have more talent on his offenses in NOLA though

9 TD’s, 2 INT’s, 1,370 yards and a 98 rating in 6 starts. That’s better than he has ever looked.
Jamies also looked his best under Payton in 2021 with 14 TD’s, 3 INT’s, 1,107 yards and a 102 rating. Sean Payton isn’t Andy Reid, but based on his history he’s a good coach. Not sure why this is controversial bc he’s now a Donkey |

Andy would've gotten significantly more out of him. Maybe even gotten him to be basically a poor man's McNabb? Andy would've made use of his legs, and designed plays/game-plans that minimized Tebow's weaknesses as much as possible, but maximized what he was good at. That's not much to work with as far as passing is concerned, but Andy would've found a way, I'm certain. |
