The way I figure it - if you played for Toledo, and obviously have below average RB speed, you must have something really special to get drafted in the 3rd round by a pretty good organization.

And *then* Thursday night happened. Holy crap.

How many first and second-round RBs have we drafted who immediately looked like crap? Ethan Horton, Harvey Williams, Paul Palmer, Donnell Bennett, Theotis Brown, Greg Hill (looked meh). Who else am I forgetting?

So, really, if not for Irma, I probably would have watched Hunt rack up points on my bench and lamented.

I'm going to keep him starting, though, for the foreseeable future.

To make it even better, my opponent for the week started Brady and the Patriots D.
My friend had Hunt AND Gillislee

Yeah, he won his game

Too much stock put into a timed speed and not enough on the tape. His tape showed he was a bona fide stud and he showed it against a higher end SEC Defense.

I remember watching Hunt in the Senior Bowl and thinking he had rare traits. Then you watch his film at Toledo and game after game you see it. The kid simply has ELITE feet, ELITE balance, and runs skinny with tree trunks for legs.

Emmitt is a good comparison as others have made. It's Brian Westbrook for me though...and it's almost eerie.

Heh, don't know why you pulled Theotis Brown out of thin air. He was drafted by the Cardinals and was a good player (he played at the same time as Ottis Anderson, and IIRC they had a weekly radio show in St. Louis called "The Ottis and Theotis Show"). He played for several years with the Cards and Seattle before he came to the Chiefs. And even then, he was a productive player for KC before a heart condition ended his career.

Lol I forgot about that. I didn't pay much attention to the draft back then. I just know Brown showed up one day and started sucking. We used to pretend to be Theotis Brown on the playground and instantly go down on first contact.

16 runs up the middle and to the right side of the field and his biggest one comes after the Pats fell asleep on the left side of the field. Great call by Nagy.
