Packers WR Romeo Doubs?

First, this is absolutely wild and utterly ridiculous speculation on my part. But, as a fantasy football enthusiast, I keep up with all the league's practice reports to stay current on any relevant injury news. And this week, the Packers have listed WR Romeo Doubs as a non-participant in practice for "personal reasons". Today, it was announced that he was 'doubtful' to play this Sunday against the Rams.

Granted, a myriad of things could have happened. The reason could be family-related or mental health-related, e.g., CEH. However, neither of those is as fun to ponder as the possibility that the Chiefs and Packers are in talks to send Doubs to Kansas City, which would explain why the Packers are shelving him this week with the trade all but finalized.

Doubs is a former 4th-round pick in the 2022 draft who stands 6'2" weighing 204 lbs (Rashee is 6'1" 203lbs) and is only 24 years old. He sort of checks all the boxes as far as Veach is concerned. Here are some of his highlights from 2023:

Again, this is just absurd speculation and arguably the result of sheer boredom, but let's discuss the possibility any goddamn way!

Packers just suspended him from their game on Sunday.

Romeo is good but do you really want a player who places getting more targets thrown his way than the team winning? Doesn't sound like a Reid/Veech type of player.

I mean Reid kept TO and Hill reigned in. Not really worried about trading for a WR diva if it's cheap.

If he's acting like that while they are winning/competing and it's known to take 2 years to learn Andy's offense, I don't know if he would get his desired targets right off the bat here.

Reports are that teams have called. I’d take him in a heart beat. We need a target eater. He wants targets.

I was wondering if GB might be willing to trade us one of their WRs but figured that they're on a roll so why make any moves

This guy is the perfect fit IMO.

Rookie deal. Absolutely need him this year, great depth/insurance next year.

I'd easily part with a 3rd, but would go as high as a second. BUT, the old Veach pick swap would be ideal. Give you a 2nd, we will take a 4th back or something

We need someone better, especially if Rice is out for the year.

Based on the highlight reels above, he's a solid option. Good size and quickness, plays big, appears able to play both inside and outside, willing and tough over the middle, great body control. Only thing that doesn't quite meet expectations is his catch%, just 60%. Maybe that's due to the physical catches he's been asked to make over the middle?

Other than that, he looks pretty good.

Again, if he's a body to get us through till Rice comes back, fine.

But if Rice news not good, this is not a big enough move for a team trying to win 3 SB's for the first time in NFL history.

Well yeah, obviously we'd need to bring in at least one other guy if we brought in Doubs. Actually, regardless of who we bring in (assuming that's the move) we'll probably need at least one other WR; our WR depth is just shite at this point.

He's a legit NFL WR, which is good.

But, yeah, we would need a bigger move as well at WR like Cooper or Johnson.
