It might be time to have a talk about Travis Kelce

He looks old and tired. I'm afraid we're seeing a very steep decline from one of the best TEs in NFL history.

I'll bet a month's salary this is his last season.

He wants to see if he can be on the 3-peat team. I love him as much as you but the guy just doesn't have the fire and he's beat up and turns 35 next month. Did I mention he's set for life and has no reason to get beat up anymore?

I did notice a couple of plays where he needed assistance - I'd love to see the A22 and I wonder if he wasn't feeling well. I dont think todays production has anything to do with age.

And just for the record: "I'll bet a months salary" was TIC.
There's no way Patrick and Travis retire at the same time.

Kelce was drafted in 2013, Mahomes in 2017.

There will be a Mahomes Era where he cannot rely on Kelce anymore. I truly am interested to see how it goes.

He's had slow starts the last few years.

His biggest play was negated by a penalty. That would make his stats look significantly better.

They were dropping safeties all game, trying to prevent big plays to him. You could tell he was frustrated. The good thing is that Mahomes didn't just try forcing the ball to him anyway, like we saw some last season.

He'll be fine.

As far as Kelce, remember when they used to prevent boxers from getting laid while training for a fight? Maybe Kelce is getting too much Swift action?
I'm sure there's some sort of GPS shock collars we can attach to the both of them that would increase voltage the closer they become.

Depending on fetishes that might make it worse.

Yeah I'd like to see the TE group getting a little more regardless of who it is. If Travis is a ghost in the playoffs then it's a concern. Until then I'm not going to worry.

A 35 year year old who hasn't been taking hits by some of the best trained athletes in collegiate and pro ecosystems I'd agree.

Also, there's the "I don't need to take the hits anymore" reality.

Like I said, I'm just saying what would be going through my head. Absolutely love the guy.

I don't think he is in football shape yet. He did spend an offseason chasing Swifttail around the world while doing his podcast commercials TV and Movies. As others have said he will be there down the stretch if he can remain healthy. Health is the big thing when you get up there in football age.

I don’t think anyone can question at this point kelces dedication to the game and his team. He is playing like a 35 year old who has barely missed any snaps for an entire career. Against a defense that has always had his number.

A few things regarding Kelce

1. He’s 35 and age catches up to us all.
2. He’s been a huge focal point of this offense for a long time which means he get tons of targets/catches/hits. Eventually it’s going to impact him.
3. In the Mahomes era KC is 15-3 in the playoffs. That’s essentially another full season of wear and tear.
4. Between jet setting with Swift, his podcast, tons of commercials might be also wearing him down.
5. Is this his last season? Possibly, but I fully expect him to give his all the rest of the season and especially in the playoffs.
