When it turns out he's a poor mans Derek Carr, things are just going to be so spectacular.

You have a great player? Their fans will gladly offer you the last 4 guys on their major league roster plus their 12th, 15th and 25th best prospects for him. Afterall - he WANTS to be a Yankee and you should be happy to get something for him...

And oddly, Orioles fans have that kind of streak to them as well. I have no idea why.
I know it’s hyperbole, but they’re up there.

They literally think they should just be handed a franchise QB, like what happened with Peyton isn’t a once in a generation lucky situation.

They’re completely delusional.

The Giants really will make that call for them. Maybe the Panthers.

If Willis is there, they take him, IMO. They need some kind of explosiveness at the QB position. I don't think Pickett or Corral would interest them but that may just be me being down on Corrral. Maybe Howell, but not in the first and then he might be a good fit for the Steelers. And Howell may have just a little too much Drew Lock in him - very balls or bust. Ridder in the 2nd may make some sense for them but we've all seen the history of 2nd round QBs. It ain't great.

After Ridder we're looking at 5th round guys or later, IMO. And I do kinda like Ridder, but there's a lot of refinement yet to do there.

They're not going to want to eat that roster bonus then trade him anyway.

Wilson will almost certainly cost MORE than Rodgers would've given the 2 years left on his deal and being about 5 years younger than Rodgers.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the Broncos would have to give up to swing it, but in a lot of ways I welcome it. They'd end up gutting that roster to the point that it would take another year or two to get it back to competitive. And by then Wilson will be 36 yrs old and looking for a massive new deal of his own to put them into a cap bind.

Go right ahead, Denver. Make that move. You'll be a 6 win team with a shorter window to compete and little in the way of long-term assets on your books.

Plus Seattle isn’t going to want a WR like Jeudy in return. They have weapons already. Denver would have to send picks and defensive players.

Shane Buechele is better than any guy that likely end up with at this point.

Pete Carroll didn’t come back to go with a rookie or retread.

Wilson isn’t going anywhere.

Watson is the Broncos last hope.

And that Broncos defense was more about coaching than talent.

Justin Simmons is still a star and Shelby Harris had a nice year but doesn't really move the needle in a trade. Surtain looked good for a rookie and I'm a fan of Dre'Mont Jones, but he's no difference maker. Chubb has disappointed and Darby's bounced around. Fuller's leaving his prime as is Johnson.

I mean they could TRY to build a deal around Simmons, Surtain, Fant and at least the 8 (probably need to give up next years 1 as well), but that doesn't make them any better, IMO.

And like I said, their window gets real tight.

I hope that's the direction they go...

Oh man - PLEASE make Gardner Minshew happen.

Watching them talk themselves into Trevor Siemien all over again would just be so spectacular.

Logically….you just have Hackett see if he can get ANYTHING out of Lock next year. Then I guess if he sucks and you have a high pick….you hope you can get a QB next year. Or there are better FA QBs out there next offseason.

2 words:

Jordan.
Love.

Because Hackett clearly worked miracles with him in GB.

Absolutely hilarious watching Broncos fans pretend that Hackett wasn’t hired to attract Rodgers.

I guess it was just a huge coincidence.
