Still less absurd than dinging Mahomes on his mechanics because he's not a 'conventional' thrower.
If you can do what Patrick Mahomes does - do that. If you're capable of being Jordan Love and throwing with 'clean' mechanics from an open pocket - who cares? Everyone can do that. It's the ability to make accurate throws in a maelstrom that matters for a QB and Mahomes absolutely does that. It's extremely rare that his mechanics cause a problem for him - as rare or more so than any of those 'clean' passers ahead of him on the list. Yeah - that article's dumb. |

I don't think he has the strongest arm in the league. Prob 2nd or 3rd but he has to be Top 2 at the very least in decision making. That is a joke.

Insteada calling it "Mechanics", the category shoulda been been called, "White boys who throw like 40 year old Tom Brady". Because seriously, that's what they really mean. Guys who grew up watching football in the 90's who's idea of good Mechanics is Troy Aikman. |

I wonder if Reid uses this material to motivate Mahomes.
"Yeah, you're good, but you're barely top 7 in decision making". |

With everything considered, if you go by Orlovsky's rankings you'd believe Burrow is the best QB in the league. Mahomes should be top 3 in every category, possibly the GOAT when it's all said and done.

I catch Orlavsky on McAfee's show every once in a while. He occasionally says something really dumb that the guys give him strong pushback. Not sure if he believes what he says or is just hoping for a sound bite.

I do enjoy watching Orlovsky cry crocodile tears and make excuses for Josh Allen every time the Bills are eliminated from the playoffs.
"Well, the Bills lost another playoff game. Dan, what did you see in the game last night?" "IT'S NOT JOSH ALLEN'S FAULT!!!!!" |

I guess Allen making a break for it running and getting smashed is good decision making?
