Basically what Chiefsplanet has deteriorated to. I come here for quality Chiefs news like the training camp threads and draft information, etc..... But I have A LOT of garbage placed on ignore thread as well as several posters on ignore. I hate dealing with the garbage threads and garbage posters, but the good parts keep me coming back even if do have to filter through a bunch of crap to find it. It's the internet and it's free content. It is what it is.

The other thing in-content ads... getting sponsorships, which is probably based on number of views for how much they pay out, I'd guess. I also feel like we have to reach some point where they've made ads worthless... when all jerseys are filled with ads, the playing field is filled with ads, there are in-game ads, unskippable ads... but I guess leagues and the NFL in particular still do pretty damn well, so we're probably still pretty far off from that. |

Not to argue your clickbait rant, because the title you mentioned is clearly dumb clickbait... but as a side note I find it somewhat amusing how dumb it's gotten, to the point of content creators calling it out.
I'll watch weightlifting videos where most of the titles are extreme clickbait titles about 'massive gains' and 'just do this one thing', but then they'll make fun of the titles and it seems like everyone is on the same page.... people subscribe because they know the content will be good and they just gloss over the clickbait title, the creators probably have marketing folks who create the clickbait titles that they laugh at and make fun of themselves. So, in that context, it's pretty harmless, even though I do follow someone who rants about the clickbait titles of others, which is also amusing. Like Rain Man said, eventually you'd think nobody clicks on anything because it's all bullshit headlines and weak content. |

Don't consume a damn thing by these "creators". Not enough respect for the content usually.

I used to use the John Muir “For The Complete Idiot” book, but dammit I’ve had it for 40 years and it’s pretty broken down. |

Are they dumb or just poorly educated? Clearly lacking common sense.

I think we’ll get to the point of paying for content. If you want sports, you pay for coverage like the Athletic. There are already search engines that use Googles search but you don’t get sponsored results or ads. Kagi.com
