If they intend or want to have a guy that can do that....one they're gonna just throw jump balls and back shoulder stuff to, yeah you keep him.

But man, that's never been a big part of what they do.

It was ANOTHER BIG DAY for Randy Ross huh? I wonder if a few of his detractors are starting to feel a little UNCOMFORTABLE about his chances of making the roster now?

I think they were successful with Jody Fortson for the 1 or 2 games he actually did play. I think he got 1 or 2 TDs in that time?

I know Fortson was lining up as a TE and all over and they don't seem to be doing that with Ross, but he might be able to do similar things

It's not, but it's not like we're asking Ross to be a big part of the offense either.

The good thing about Ross is the kid has good hands. And making big catches on the outside is just what he does as he did the same thing last year against the Vikings.

I'm sure they're not too worried about it and trust the coaching staff to pick the right roster

He's not gonna get that many targets and will need to play special teams. Is that something you guys think he will or can do? Not being rhetorical here, serious question?

I read somewhere that Ross is having a better camp this year than he did last year when the hype train was going wild.

I guess its different when his development is just a bonus if it works out.

I don't think he's Terrence Copper, but he showed the staff last year that he could play ST in last year's camp, and that's why they were comfortable having him on the 53.

So yeah, he can.
