I liked the original The Weakest Link.
Used to watch Jeopardy every night. Now we watch TPIR every night. But as many have mentioned: The Hollywood Squares and Match Game are legendary. And proof that everyone did coke or drank back then. |

I have always loved game shows my entire life, however I like more of the classics from the 70s and 80s. The modern game shows I mostly hate. Anytime they try to focus on the contestants more than the game, then I'll quit watching pretty quickly.
I also hate the contestants that act all fake and over the top animated. Just give me Dave the plumber from Des Moines and let's get on with the show. I don't need to know about his wife and family and the dog and all their struggles in life. Do not care. But I work from home and watch Buzzr and all the classic shows on Pluto TV quite a bit. The Price is Right, Match Game, Classic Concentration, Card Sharks, Press You Luck are some of my faves. |

Oh, man, I’ve always loved game shows. I watched TV a lot more growing up so I’d watch often enough. $100,000 Pyramid, Price is Right, Press Your Luck, Newlywed Game, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Weakest Link.
Not exactly game show game shows but still fit the mold a bit were Survivor, Big Brother and the Real World/Road Rules Challenges. These days the ol’ lady watches most of the TV so she’ll put on Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud at least a few times per week. |

I remember going to my cousin’s house once when I was younger and they had the cable package that included Game Show Network. All game shows, all day long. I thought that was the coolest thing ever.

I liked Tic Tac Dough. I think it was hosted by a defensive coordinator.

on this topic - was there ever a more simple game show than Card Sharks?
I mean, people with IQs of 45 could play it. |

I’ve always been a fan of Jeopardy!, especially with Alex Trebek. Wheel of Fortune is another classic I never get tired of. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire had some intense moments back in the day too.

All the cool game shows were from Nickelodeon when I was a kid.
Wild n Crazy Kids GUTS Legends of the Hidden Temple Double Dare Always wanted to be on the Bozo the Clown show as a kid lol Of course there was the Price is Right on school sick days. My dad always watched Wheel of Fortune around dinner time. |
