How did South Sudan get invited to the tournament anyway? Win the All Sudan Conference Tournament? 12 team tourney? Sudan. Sudan Central. Sudan North. Sudan East. Sudan West. Sudan South (the champs). Sudan Northeast. Sudan Northwest. Sudan Southeast. Sudan Southwest. Sudan Homeschool. Sudan Tech. Am I missing anyone?

I actually found this one funny. Just embarrassing how far the USA has fallen.
I think we can officially stick a fork in the whole argument about the new generation being better than the 80; s-90s guys. You just had a 38-year-old lead USA to a 1 point win over South ****ing Sudan. That's pretty much game, set, match on that debate. Last edited by BigCatDaddy; 07-20-2024 at 08:50 PM.. |

There is definitely something off about the team. It feels like the most underwhelming team that we’ve had. I mean, lebron and Steph post prime are still cooking but they’re nothing like their peak. We hate to admit it but the international stage as a whole has caught up to the US. Ant is future bright, but man a lot of these players are harder to like. Until or unless Ant steps up we just don’t have a generational guy from the US in their peak and maybe we’ve been spoiled for so many decades always having an mj or Kobe or lebron around.
I did see a comment on Twitter that sounds about right that these super teams often spend the entire game figuring out how to work together, but in the closing minutes the alphas just take over. And I think that’s the case here. |

Canada rolling Puerto Rico right now. Primed to threaten the USA for gold in a few weeks.
No guarantees the US even advances out of the group if they are relying on 40 year old LeBron to dominate to beat South Sudan. |
