They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Pickens an outlier also? Something had to be up with that whole deal. Hardman was a good second round WR. Like I said, I just hope he's not the best one that Veach has drafted this far.

He wasn't a top 50 pick and Veach isn't infallible. He's gonna have draft misses like every GM, but looking at that draft Skyy is the only glaring miss of the valuable picks.

Rice however looks like he could be a good player.

There are plenty of good WR's taken in round 2 and later, this idea that Hardman was a good pick is kinda ehh...he's a gadget athlete that never really became a viable WR.

Yeah, but I get why he was drafted. That was right on the heels of the Tyreek Hill incident, and the Chiefs did not know how that was going to turn out and they were looking for someone that could also help them in the return game kind of a speed burner gadget kind of type guy that they could take the top off a defense. I get it

Plenty? Nah.

There's some for sure. The miss rate is gonna be alot higher.

Hardman put up 550-600 yards, while behind Kelce and Hill. That's a productive player.

9/10 of the top WR in yards this year were drafted in the 2nd round or later.

I don’t think the “Veach can’t draft WRs” narrative is fair. He has yet to take a huge swing. No first rounders. The highest pick has been late 2nd round. I think Hardman was fine for a late 2nd rounder and Rice looks like a good pick. Jury’s out on Moore. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pick when it happened, but it’s too early to call him a bust. I’m betting that he’ll have a decent career. If not, it’s only one miss.

Well, yeah, the majority of WR's are coming from those places.

Compared to the amount of guys overall at WR drafted in those rounds, the odds are you're gonna get more Parris Campbell than AJ Brown.

People did the same shit with Howie Roseman after missing big on Reagor (passed up Jefferson), and JJ Arcega-Whiteside (a real bust, not Hardman).

Then he drafted DeVonta Smith and traded for AJ Brown and the narrative disappeared.

Not too long ago the narrative was that the Chiefs couldn't draft edge rushers, or were at least struggling. They missed big on two guys (Kpass and Speaks). Then they drafted Karlaftis.
