****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Im not salty anymore. I still think it was a mistake, but I cant argue with results. Would really like to have a true #1 WR though.

Despite having no wide receivers, the Chiefs are converting third downs at a 0.4 percent higher rate than they did last season.

Ideally, Tyreek is still a Chief for sure.

But I think it's pretty obvious they traded Tyreek in order to gain the capital they needed to complete the defensive rebuild. Now whether that defense can hold up against the Bills or the Ravens or whoever in the playoffs.....well we won't know that for a while.

It's been discussed to death, but the view from 10k feet is there of what they wanted to do. Now you've gotta hit and develop some draft picks into weapons. They haven't been able to do that in a few years at WR, or atleast develop any of them into real top end weapons.

I would argue that you aren't likely to do that taking guys in the late 2nd anyway, or the odds are low.

We've gotta realize that this whole thing is always about being able to pivot and not lock yourself into mistakes. They've done a pretty good job with that and as much as we always want this to be an all time elite offense, sometimes that's just not gonna happen, all things considered.

I do think it's easier to do than keep a defense together as we may experience here in the next couple years as some of these draft picks need paid, so if they decide to swing back to an offensive heavy squad, it makes sense.

Yep, we're only ranked third this season. Not elite at all!

Some of those numbers are going to be inflated by the Bears game and if we wanna be honest, we've played a light schedule.

4 games in and we've played 1 team with a winning record.

Well, yeah, 1/4th of their schedule is the Chiefs.

1 game is gonna swing schedules winning record or not at this point.

The Bears and Jets would still be losing teams without playing the Chiefs...Jags I'll say 50/50 considering they got smoked by Houston and the Lions well they seem to actually be good.

Probably true. But it doesn't help that there were guys there who would have been better picks than Hardman and Skyy. Its a crap shoot and Veach does not have the benefit of hindsight. And I get that also. He hits on more than he misses. Just not at WR it seems. Will suck if Hardman turns out to be the best of the bunch.

Hardman was a good 2nd round WR. Your AJ browns and DK's are outliers when you look at the amount of guys taken in the 2nd.

Before you discount it, look and see how many more of them are by runs this year compared to last.
