Mahomes has been solid outside of the two horrible interceptions the other night. Not at his best, but good.

It's a lot of new faces. He's not comfortable yet. They'll settle in, the team will play the best WR's when they've separated themselves, and we'll be fine by mid season.

Dogshit is hyperbolic but he had a lot of dejection in his tone. Hard to tell if he's frustrated with his self or WRs.

Jaguars interception was a really bad decision & throw, but at least it pinned the Jaguars at their own 12 yard line. High quality arm punt. I strongly prefer to not see any of the forced throws into coverage, but I'm not sure he will ever grow out of it.

He'll need to be a lot sharper against the Vikings. I don't get the feeling that the Chiefs defense will be able to shutdown the Vikings offense like they did with the Jaguars offense, so Patrick needs to find a way to light up the scoreboard this time around.

The Jets have a good defense, guys. Maybe even the best. Look what they did to Josh Allen week 1.

We're fine.

Probably a bit of both.

It'll be interesting to see what this offense looks like at around week 10-12.

Yes, they have a damn good defense. Buffalo didn't kneel out the game at the 1 yard line and the Bills scored 16 total on them, including a failed Buffalo possession in Overtime.

The Chiefs would have scored 30 if Mahomes didn't slide at the end of the 4th quarter. That's kind of shocking, given the struggles we saw with the eye test. It's not like they scored on a Pick 6, Fumble 6, long kick return, long punt return, etc.

I think we give them a couple more weeks before we make any rash decisions.

No one's making any rash decisions. Veach isn't going to go full-dipstick desperation mode and sign Dez Bryant.

We're running with these guys. And I won't be surprised if Veach doesn't sign any WR before/at the trade deadline.

Someone in the WR room has to step up and start playing big boy football. Over the next four-five weeks Andy will do his thing and figure out who that guy is.

And whoever it is, he doesn't have to be Davante Adams. he just has to be able to play WR at a competent level regardless of coverage. And catch the ball. That's it, as long as Travis gets back to his normal self.

30 points (I'm counting it) and 400 yards on an elite defense on an off night for our offense? Yeah we're gonna be ok.

With a softer pass defense in minny let’s go back to executing the basics. If you don’t trust rice yet, then more of Toney or Watson vulturing skyys reps. Our WR room is what it is right now. More than anything I just want to see a clean game from them.
I think you are spot on about Patrick's tendency to force the issue when mistakes are happening elsewhere in the team. Whether it's drops or fumbles or penalties or the defense getting torched, he starts putting too much pressure on himself to make crazy stuff happen instead of just playing smart.

He's been doing that since 2014. Back in those days it was an all-time horrible defense and other issues with Texas Tech roster/coaching. It seems like he still has this mentality, even though the KC teammates and coaches are a million times better than they were back in the day at Tech. I'm not sure he will ever grow out of it, but I really wish he could be more patient in these situations. Just place top priority on ball security, no matter what. It's not the end of the world to punt the ball.
