We’ve had plenty of pleasant discussion and debate the past few days. You’re the only one berating people and being a dick.

But they’re not catching the ball with consistency. And guys like skyy don’t hit their spots. They are changing his wr rotation constantly in game. And even if they get open enough there are also just as many instances where nobody is.

Get your best guys out there who can hit their spots, stick with a rotation, clean up the drops… that might not solve it but it’s a huge help. All achievable things. But we gotta get the right guys in there and they need to execute with consistency.

Rice has had a few drops, but other than week 1 they've been fine in that department.

But again guys, this is all gonna come down to the salary cap. The odds are, you aren't gonna have a great WR room, a great OL, a great defense etc.

The cap won't let you then you've got the draft which, lets face it, tends to be crap shooty.

In a lot of ways this reminds me of the ravens game from 2 years ago. Remember that game where mahomes threw one of his biggest wtf passes in his career where he heaved up the ball under pressure? That was after our guys were making a few boneheaded plays. When we don’t execute the small things he presses too much and loses faith in the small stuff.

With a softer pass defense in minny let’s go back to executing the basics. If you don’t trust rice yet, then more of Toney or Watson vulturing skyys reps. Our WR room is what it is right now. More than anything I just want to see a clean game from them.

But in NY specifically when did we see mahomes change? Bad route from Skyy, rashee drop, Taylor miss leading to a safety (with an Mvs drop that didn’t count). In Jacksonville it was a comical amount of penalties.. At least that’s how I remember it. When you stack mistakes that’s when you start to see more of the wtf mahomes. We saw a bit of that in Detroit as well - more obvious gaffes in that one. Chicago was the only game that’s felt clean from all ends

Gotta clean up the mistakes, bare minimum.

Seems a bit off.
And you’re always complaining about Mahomes. I promise you 31 other teams would gladly take him. Would they gladly take the Chiefs receiving group? Probably not.

When one unit doesn’t do their job he’s going to adjust and do a lot of things he wouldn’t normally do. If his blockers don’t block he’s going to bail or rush his passes. If his WRs don’t do their jobs he’s gonna stare or bail too quick. Can’t ask him to carry 400 lbs on his back.
If your OT's are whiffing every other block, it doesn't matter who lines up at WR. I think that's kinda the point.

I’m not trying to make this about which position is more important. I am just pointing out that the qb can’t do his job if the guys he depends on don’t do theirs. It’s blatantly obvious when an OL misses a block. I think it’s just as important if a WR doesn’t run his route correctly or drops it. Bare minimum, you’ve gotta execute the basics… you don’t need to be good or bad to do that.

When you pay one player what we pay our QB, you can't pay other guys that would help shoulder any kind of load.

Yeah, he's held to a high standard. Sorry.

A minimum contract salary should be expected to run the right route and catch the ball. Most of the glaring mistakes we’ve made have been about execution, not a lack of talent.

I hold him to a very high standard. I complain about him not protecting the ball as much as I would like to see. But I have never seen you show one lick of appreciation for what he has done for your franchise. Non-stop complaining. Y’all are unbelievably lucky to have him. Nobody is perfect, not even Tom Brady. His career TD to INT ratio is evidence of that fact.

Heard 2 things on today's presser:

Mahomes says he has been dogshit to start the season.

Andy basically admits they are rotating through about 6 WRs (because no one has emerged as "the guy" if you are reading between the lines).
