Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Did you see that game? Don't you remember Kaepernick rushing for 181 yards and two touchdowns? Think Alex Smith works Green Bay's defense over with his legs like that?

What's amazing is that many of you don't understand or try to pretend that it's not a big deal that we just traded for some other teams backup.... It's tough for me to get over that! Lol

I'll give Alex his fair credit for getting the team there. Sure.

Getting there is not the point. But then, you've already established that you think "anything can happen in the playoffs," as if its some crapshoot that's out of each team's control.

I don't know what would have happened, and neither do you. both teams would have had a different game plan. The Alex Smith led 49ers had already beaten the Packers in the regular season.

We do know that a 2nd year qb from Nevada one that never played in an NFL game before took the job over after 1 game! That team NEVER looked back. ughh, there is a damned good reason for that. He's not the guy!

Jim H isnt no dummy. He pulled one over on everybody. Alex Smith, the NFL and the suckers the Kansas City Chiefs (biggest NFL suckers there are)

He's a game manager. Is that what you want in a QB?

So Alex Smith wins that game on the road against Atlanta? We're seriously having this conversation?

You think he deserves none of the credit, when he won more regular season games than Kaepernik did? Alex Smith 6-2. Colin Kaepernik 5-2-1.

Rodgers didn't lose to Alex. Green Bay lost to Kaepernick, who ran for 181 yards, setting the NFL record for QB rushing yards in a playoff game. Kaep now IS the 49ers franchise QB.
