Still a large number but it's a little smaller at this point. Have him up to speed by week 10?

But that's why Hardman makes sense. He'd hit the ground running. And he'd be cheap and bring most of what we need that Hollywood does.
If we add Hollywood and Mecole to MVS, Toney, and Rice then please play man against us.

Make Speed Great Again.

What about Hunter Renfrow? He’ll have to renegotiate his contract, but I think he would be decent.

Hopefully Veach and Reid have learned their lesson.

Always draft the player with better physical traits.

They drafted MEH over several more talented RBs and they drafted Skyy Less over George Pickens and other more physically gifted WRs.

That has to stop.

Renfrow wasn't good when he was good; just another Great White Hype.

And now he's mostly just washed.

Nope - not interested.

I'd say it's Mecole or Hollywood.....or Kyle Pitts but they probably won't do that.

Add a couple void season to Hollywood's deal and bonus out his remaining $10 million. We could get his cap hit down to $1-2 million at that point. And the Cardinals won't care about next year's cap acceleration.

It might take a 4th and a 6th to get it done, but a 4th and a 6th to add Hardman and Brown makes this offense a real bitch to deal with. Then next year you use a 2nd to backfill the speed element so you don't have to do all this crap again...

It's less than ideal, but it really gets us back in scary shape offensively, IMO.

I agree. Mahomes/Reid plus a top 5 defense should be a SB champion. The only ? mark is the weapons. We can't afford to go to the playoffs with question marks there because all it takes is one bad matchup and we're in a dogfight if a team can man us and take away Kelce.

Uhh, that isn't how Veach has operated, like, at all here. If there's an evident problem with the roster he's usually relatively aggressive at trying to fix it, especially around the deadline. If this WR group still hasn't shown much of anything a month from now I'm guessing it'll be the same.

Toney is still in preseason mode. It's like people keep forgetting the guy had surgery and didn't go to camp. He only got 24% of the snaps last night and it was noticeable when he was in. That too will get better.

The real problem is at RB and TE. McKinnon is getting older and it's showing. We need to work hard to find his replacement next Spring bc his age is starting to show and Clyde just ****ing sucks.

We need a TE guys. I like Noah Gray but he just isn't enough. Last night was a good example of how having another talented TE to pair with Kelce could really **** over defenses, but when Kelce is not on the field we don't see much from Gray.

I feel really good about Rice and Toney will still be cheap next year. Not saying we shouldn't invest in a WR but to me the top priorities need to be RB and TE
I'm a little surprised the Chiefs haven't signed a older vet TE to pair with Kelce.
It seems like that would be the most cost effective way to improve the offense imop.

Yeah, the Belichick approach makes WAY too much sense against us.

Put your top DB on Rice, put your 2nd and 3rd guys (likely a S and CB) on Kelce. And force Andy to do a bunch of window dressing/movement to try to create confusion.

Kelce looked a little slower last season. He's looked slower again this season. The days of him being someone that can just defeat whatever you throw at him may not be over, but they may not be routine either.

The wrong team with the right personnel and a smart coach can have us running the ball 35 times and hoping the defense can get a key stop.

That's a fairly unnerving thought for a team built around it's superstar QB and offense-minded HC.

It just seems to be inviting trouble.
