I think what excites me the most is how much more dangerous this will make the 13 personnel.
Yes, it's a potential succession plan for Kelce and looks like a potential draft steal. That shit is awesome. But that 2022 offense was super dynamic because it was diverse, and one of those aspects of diversity of how effective and threatening the 13 sets were. Jody Fortson gave them a downfield threat with go-up-and-get-it skills that let them create a lot of big plays in the red zone/downfield. I think Wiley is a good replacement for that skillset, but with considerably more upside. And with Kelce and Gray on the field, too, that's a really dynamic trio of targets who make your passing game thrive but can do enough in the run game to punish teams that defend it with nickel or dime. Watch him be more productive than both Mayer and Bowers, and the Raiders cry.

And i know this is waaaaay, way far out.....but....if everything breaks right for this kid in terms of health and reaching his full potential.....he could possibly out produce Kelce when it's all said and done. He's going to get a full career with Mahomes...and Reid is a TE whisperer....just sayin'. |

He didn't really pop in camp, not sure how ready he really is to do much as a rookie.

Maybe that's a good sign. Guys who "pop" in camp often end up on the practice squad or playing in a different league. Give me "reliable and physically capable" over camp hype any day of the week.
