But that’s the part I don’t get. If his ego is big, then go to the nfc for a team with a good cap situation. It’s weird to see so many coaches gravitate to a division where Patrick mahomes is inevitable.

It doesn’t worry me a bit because the chargers are in such a bad cap position. But man, I just hate the idea that such an irrelevant fan base gets a coach purely because of location.

Getting rid of Staley for Jim Harbaugh might be like the Jaguars getting rid of Urban Meyer and replacing him with Doug Pederson. But even though that helped Lawrence in the way it might help Herbert, it's not like that has been enough to include the Jaguars in the conversation with the top AFC teams. The conference is loaded and there's not much room for error.

He almost won it with Alex Smith. got farther with him than Andy did. the guy isn't going to achieve what Reid did in KC but I can bet you he will have them in a position that Dan Campbell has the Lions in a few years. The chiefs will still win for a while its just now they have competition, thats all. It will be like competing against the Bills and Bengals only difference is Harbaugh might win a SB.

To be fair if Pederson stayed with the Eagles there is a chance his ceiling could have been as high as Harbaughs but going to the Jags alone makes his ceiling lower than Harbaugh, Pederson isnt winning anything big with the Jaguars.
