Went there a couple summers ago. Stayed at the Peabody, walked to Beale St. (only like 2 blocks), walked to the motel where MLK was killed, walked to the diner that Elvis loved to have breakfast at. A lot of riff raff the further from the hotel we went.

Only realized like a week after we left that Memphis is like the Murder capital of the US.

Guess we got lucky.
