Stupid Tourist Tricks

It's off to a fast start already this year! A list of incidents involving people trying to obtain the coveted Darwin Award. I will keep you up to date of all the stupid tourist tricks.

This yesterday: We thought it was cold! (this is a first)

How this lady lived and was not gored is beyond me: Buy a Powerball ticket lady:

This from last week: Amazing no one got taken out:

Much of the time, this is what happens: Fat guy vs Bison https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNvTHOrTf_Y

At this rate, it should be a record year for goring incidents, Chinese tourists seem particularly clueless. So far no goring's, but it's coming.

If you have any from your area, post them up.

2. Stand on the edge of the Grand Canyon and do a funny one leg pose as you fall off the side of a ledge

On that note, I've been wandering around in Utah this week on a vacation, which included a stop at Bryce Canyon. It astounds me that you can park in an area with a nice formal parking lot and then walk to a place where there's a vertical 500-foot drop that has nothing to stop you from walking over the edge. The trail runs about six feet in parallel with absolutely certain death, and there are a hundred tourists wandering around. I get the willies getting within ten feet of the edge, in part because I don't want to trip on a pebble and go over and in part because I don't want some teenage kid or surly boomer to give me a shove when I'm near it. I also don't want to see someone accidentally backing over it during a selfie.

Don't know if this is a tourist, but it's worth posting for the laughs.
