I speak Valley Boy.
It’s not the desire to watch the game. It’s the choice of blue horse blinders. |

Finally found the old plan from the early 00s for the ballpark at that site.

Interesting. Never knew they already had a sort of concept for that site.

The more I think about this idea the more I really like it.
It is in the city but has minimal disruptions to things around it. It is transit adjacent in a lot of ways and that can keep expanding. There is a history of having events in the area and one of the biggest plusses is you have 3 land owners in the area who are open to playing ball. Last edited by |Zach|; 08-15-2024 at 11:08 AM.. |

Yeah, it gets better the more you think about it. There are some existing parking structures in the area to support Crown Center already, and you can probably find a close-ish spot to build a new one, too.
There would be lots of ways to access the stadium, too - including the street cars. Decent highway access. And you can route traffic north, east, and west without adding huge or inconvenient travel times for folks. You'd have to make sure to NOT direct gameday car traffic to Grand or you're creating problems. |

Right on the light rail track, probably the most parking possibilities in the Downtown area, no more bitching about crap hotels, and even a little space for Sherman to include a venue of some sort. They just have to build over the tracks like they plan to do over 670. I like it.
