I don’t think evans at his age will come to kc. But he’d have to take one hell of a pay cut to stay there unless they get rid of baker. If they keep baker, which they probably will, evans is unaffordable. They have cap space but their entire team is going into free agency

Agreed. As long as he is average, his salary cap hit make it worth the risk to Mahomes. $20-$25 million a year for a LT. He's a $2 million hit. Thats $20 million we can spend on a WR/OL/defense etc.

Just had an attorney in my office this morning who was telling me he was at Argosy on Sunday. Told me he playing blackjack at a table with one other guy who was playing 5 oranges on two spots like it was nothing. Didn't know who he was but dude eventually lost about $50k before getting up and leaving. Dealer told him afterwards it was MVS and that he's in there all the time! Guess he had won $65k playing with the same dealer the week before.

Not saying thats a good or bad thing to be gambling in your free time the night before our Christmas game, but found it interesting. And of course he went out the next day and brought home 0 catches on 61 snaps. Argosy might be sad to see him go next year but we wont!

Last year, we won a SB with a one legged Juju and this group, and had the #1 offense in just about any meaningful category, including 'explosive plays'. THAT was a bunch of JAGS.

That entire group (minus Long Juju Silver) regressed to a state of completely unplayable, clueless, three stooges level ineptitude.

Patience, I counseled. The whole group couldn't possibly regress like this. They'll snap out of it.

Apparently not.

Yeah, we need to clean house and get some actual professional receivers.
We don't have to **** our cap to do it, and we don't have to trade multiple picks, and we don't have to go batshit crazy.

As it turns out, a Thielen type probably would have saved this season. (And I was an advocate of signing him or someone like him this past offseason.)

Rice is a bright spot in this shit sandwich. You need a speedy deep threat who can actually catch the ball, and you need a steady pro who knows where to be and when and then to actually catch the ball. Fill those two roles, and we're back in business.
We had one that was a professional. He ran the routes correctly, caught the ball, and lined up correctly. Mahomes knew what he was going to do and our GM let him walk with no replacement.

And then even at the trade deadline when it was clear there were zero NFL WR's on the field that Mahomes could trust Veach and Reid said, we good.

No need to bring in a JAG WR that can do basic NFL things. We need to develop a draft pick we took last year who had shown nothing and had no +NFL traits.

MVS was never a WR1 or WR2 in GB. He was a complimentary depth player. Justin Watson was on a ****ing PS the month before we got him to a futures deal. Toney was never WR1 or WR2 in NY and Skyy wasn't good last year at all.

They entered this season with a bunch of WR3's at best, lottery tickets (Ross) and Rice.

Last year the offense could cover that up because it ran through Juju, a healthier more youthful Kelce and Pacheco/healthy McKinnon while MVS, Watson, Toney and Skyy were rotational depth players that got targeted sometimes. This year it's all on those guys and we see the result.

It's a talent issue and idk how anyone can say it isn't. The Raiders DB's didn't one time backpedal. They just crashed down every snap to take away the short passes.

This offense badly needs a a veteran WR like Juju and more youth. They also need to stop with the old injured players like McKinnon too.

They need to do a reset and get some serious weapons in here at WR and RB.

We've unequivocally learned this season that Mahomes isn't a cheat code at QB to make JAG receivers into good players that can make an impact, but rather he's a cheat code to make good receivers that know how to do their jobs great impact players.

They absolutely do need an infusion of talent, because Nagy has proven incapable of making this work like Bieniemy could. The entire offense plays ****ing dumb and it's a damning indictment on lack of quality control from Reid on down.

I think he can make JAG receivers decent (Albert Wilson, Robinson, Pringle come to mind) but he can't take 4 players who literally don't belong in the NFL and turn them into NFL players. That's the difference.

These dudes are not JAGs. I'd kill to have some JAGs! These are guys that should not be playing pro football.

We have no top end elite difference makers at WR and then other than Rice who is a rookie the rest of the guys are broken, misfit toys.

Toney is a talented, injury prone guy that probably doesn't grind. No other explanation why his snaps when healthy are so limited. They don't trust him to do the right thing for more than a few snaps.

Skyy Moore is not a NFL WR. There are guys sitting on NFL practice squads that can do more.

MVS is a 1 trick pony and the trick of running down the field fast and not tracking or being able to fight for a football is pretty lame. This year he has added not being able to run the routes where Mahomes expects him to be.

Justin Watson is a career special teams player that is on the field because he is experienced and sometimes can make bottom of the roster plays.

Richie James is a tiny slot WR that is weak on the football and injury prone. But right now he might be the best option after Rice.

Yeah.

Add

Demarcus Robinson
Braxton Berrios
Zach Pascale

to the team with Rice and we might not be #1 Seed but we are still dangerous enough to probably give Baltimore a scare.

And that means we have a chance.

Guys that just can't do basic things have destroyed the team vibes and made the best QB talent I have ever seen nervous.

That's what's so damning about the coaching. MVS and Toney are going to have their worst years in the league and Moore hasn't developed for shit. Even he's worse than his ****ing rookie year.

the 2022 version of Juju was not a 'top end difference maker'.

Juju has one functional knee, no explosion, no quickness, and no real speed to speak of. He's got good size, and a good understanding of the game. Where to be, when to be there, and catches the ball when it comes to him.

Juju has been an afterthought in NE, who paid him well, and hasn't been able to figure out how to use him.

Juju is the definition of a 'JAG'. He's got one good leg. He's not the same guy he was his first few years in Pittsburgh.

All of the rest of these guys were here in '22. ALL of them REGRESSED not just a little; not 'to the mean', they all regressed to unplayable.

I hate to say it but I do get the allure of Toney.

I could see how Reid/Veach see him and think they can manufacture a few game changing plays from him. But he's a show horse not a work horse and even 5 wow plays a game aren't coming this year from him because there is zero coaching or accountability to the entire WR room.

Seriously, call DeSean Jackson. See if he can get through to these losers because we need someone that they will listen to.

This narrative is so ****ing dumb. Jesus.

Why did the Chiefs look absolutely horrific against the Raiders? Let's see here. Hmmm...

1. The rookie LT got anally raped.
2. The $20 million RT got anally raped even with chip help.
3. The Chiefs didn't have a RB who could block. McKinnon and Pacheco were out and Clyde cannot block worth a shit.
4. Since the RB's are out we had no choice but to have Blake Bell and Noah Gray block instead of be receivers, along with Kelce sometimes.
5. The WR's aren't good except for Rice.
6. Since the Chiefs OL was getting raped by only 4 DL, it was literally 7 defenders vs 4 Chiefs receivers and most times when a WR was open the QB was already being chased out of the pocket and didn't see the opening.

We saw this same exact shit vs TB in the Super Bowl. Same thing fellas.

And yet you guys wanna pin this on any coach for not fixing it huh? Put Bill ****ing Walsh in that situation and he's getting owned. Put Mike Holmgren, Mike Shannahan, Sean McVay or any offensive genius in that scenario and they're getting still dog walked.

The Chiefs don't have talent
