We were covered up with turkeys for yrs and almost over night they were gone. Had one or two hens running around for a couple yrs then they started coming back to what I’d call normal population.not that it’s connected but are quail population seemed to rebound during the absence of turkeys.

We had hogs from about 09-11 and turkeys just disappeared when they showed up. About 2 miles away they trapped about 100 hogs over 8 months and we haven’t seen any now for about 3 years. It’s nice to see turkeys making a comeback.

We definitely love it there. Love our hosts at the resort. Sad we had to miss this year due to covid. Resort owner texted they had 0 Paddlefish people this year. That hurts. Been going around 20 years.

We have a serious coon and opossum problem here. The butterfly nets are advertising how many ticks opossums eat and pushing for people to stop killing them. They never mention how many ticks one good hatch of birds eat in their lifetime. Trapping is quickly becoming taboo and unfortunately the hides have no value. I know what I'm going to start doing. |

If anyone has a hog problem, I'd love to come and plink some of them.
