People are enamored with him? Who? The coaching staff that keeps giving him 1st team reps? Other than that I haven't heard anyone saying anything positive about him or anyone being enamored with him.

That’s a very shortsighted outlook.

KT has shown rare athletic ability that jumps off the screen. He’s also in a contract year. He looks healthy.

If he can shake off the drops and miscues from last year, he’s still a valuable weapon for us.

He would absolutely suck if he never dropped another pass again. He is a plus athlete but that is drastically overstated as Mahomes had a faster 3cone or shuttle (I forget exactly which). Hes not good. There are tons of athletic receivers who suck. TONS.

I see a lot of wasted movement on his exaggerated cuts.

He flails when he runs routes. It’s very ugly.

He is fast, so there’s that.

I think the exaggerated body motion fools defenders though.

This.

It's akin to a sick crossover in basketball.

If you want to see a lot of useless, wasted motion in a route, look at Skyy Moore. Not to beat a dead horse but...he's a solid example, what can i say.

The missed pass in the end zone he had a few days ago was a perfect example. Dude did all this herky-jerky shit to get off the LOS and the defender never bit, and just stayed square with him the whole time.

had to go with the under. Him running option drills with the 1's isn't enough to convince me that he won't suddenly stop sucking. It sure would be nice if somehow it all came together for him, because his route running and athleticism is freakish. Damn shame really but don't trust him to predict anything for him, especially with 2 new shiny wideouts joining the squad.

170 yards isn't that big of a hurdle if he's getting rb snaps. I don't think he has amazing upside, but I could see him finding a better niche on this team now that they have legit speed at wideout to make space for the gadget plays and runs.
